Attitude Control of a Hypersonic Glide Vehicle Based on Reduced-Order Modeling and NESO-Assisted Backstepping Variable Structure Control

Aiming at solving the control problem caused by large-scale change of Hypersonic Glide Vehicle (HGV) parameters, this paper proposes a design method backstepping variable structure attitude controller based on Nonlinear Extended State Observer (NESO), with characteristics HGV model and idea uncertainty estimation compensation associated. Firstly, second-order NESO is studied. Due to large number systematic for determining parameters given in paper, stability observer proved completely using piecewise Lyapunov analysis. Then, NESO-assisted employs reduced-order modeling decompose whole system into two first-order subsystem problem, classifies nonlinear dynamic changes aircraft aggregated uncertain terms subsystems. The simulation results show that can realize stable accurate tracking flight when range.
